Raasi is as charming as ever
Raasi has a sweet voice and she says if people give her an opportunity she is ready to dub for films. She adds, “I dubbed for Nadiya in Mirchi, Antaku Mundhu Aa Taruvata for Madhubala, Kajal Agarwal’s debut film and for Galipatam. I love to dub for artistes and it is quite an enjoyable job and I find it flexible too.”
Talking about her entry into Nandini Reddy’s film she says, “I had known her since Anthahpuramdays when she was an associate director. We met in a mall and then she said she’d want to work with me some day. I laughed it off. Four months later her staff called me and again followed up and convinced me to listen to the story and then take a decision. I had to agree. She even made me dance for the film and I did it after 12 years, I couldn’t say no. I play Malavika Nair’s mother in the movie.”
The actor has already wrapped up director Chuniya’s film that is a Nagarjuna production. She is simultaneously doing television and is balancing her life perfectly. Now that she has begun signing films, what kind of roles would she like to take up? “People shouldn’t wonder in the first place why I had done a particular film. There should be some substance for me to portray a role, and I wouldn’t like to disappoint anyone.”
